It's all about ME! by John Boyne Published on Feb 13, 2006 ChainLink Research is initiating a major research project covering a broad range of Retail software technology, including Merchandising, Store-Execution, Supply Chain Management, and Analytics. The results of this research will be published in a series of reports by ChainLink to be distributed jointly by ChainLink Research and TechnologyEvaluation.com.The report is intended to provide its reader with "what an end-user wants to know about a software solution." It will rate software offerings on a 3-dimensional model, ranking them by business functionality, delivery architecture and domain expertise. The point is to provide enough information for the report's reader to know which packages are pertinent to his environment and which are not. Our process of discovery is via surveys to query vendors on aspects of their software vis-a-vis the 3-D model, and interviews with key software providers.
